there is no such thing as a bad day

There is no such thing as a bad day, but there are days when I am more inclined toward happiness and productivity than others. There is no such thing as a bad day, but there are days when I worry more about far-away problems with out-of-reach solutions. There is no such thing as a bad day, but there are doldrum days directly following days of high fascination. These is no such thing as a bad day, but there are days when I remember that, although I enjoy time spent alone, it is not always spent alone by choice. There is no such thing as a bad day, but there are days that would have been better if slept completely through. There is no such thing as a bad day, but there are days when I can’t push the negative thoughts away in a way that allows me to blend seamlessly into a society that acknowledges that all Mondays are Bad Days as a form of small talk, but with no real emotion behind the words, as if the designation of Mondays as Bad Days means nothing to anybody, and it is just agreed upon that Mondays will be a little bit worse than the rest of the week, especially Saturday, since we’ve agreed that Saturdays are Good Days, even though there is no such thing as a good day (but that’s a different poem).
